CSU Bakersfield hits 12 of 12 from the line in OT to beat Long Beach State 82-76

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Kaleb Higgins scored 34 points and CSU Bakersfield went 12-for-12 from the free throw line in overtime to beat Long Beach State 82-76 on Thursday.

Higgins had eight assists for the Roadrunners (9-12, 4-6 Big West Conference). Marvin McGhee scored 22 points while going 7 of 13 (6 for 10 from 3-point range), and added 10 rebounds. Modestas Kancleris had six points and shot 1 of 3 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line.

AJ George led the Beach (13-9, 5-5) in scoring, finishing with 29 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Long Beach State also got 12 points and three steals from Jadon Jones. In addition, Lassina Traore finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Both teams play on Saturday. CSU Bakersfield hosts UCSB and Long Beach State hosts UCSD.
