Allen’s 18 help Utah Valley take down Southern Utah 78-75

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Drake Allen’s 18 points helped Utah Valley defeat Southern Utah 78-75 on Saturday night.

Caleb Stone-Carrawell made two free throws for Utah Valley to cap the scoring with seven seconds left. Zion Young missed a 3-pointer to end it.

Allen added nine assists for the Wolverines (12-14, 7-8 Western Athletic Conference). Ethan Potter added 15 points and six rebounds. Stone-Carrawell finished with 14 points.

The Thunderbirds (9-17, 4-11) were led in scoring by Parsa Fallah, who finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. Southern Utah also got 16 points from Dominique Ford. In addition, Jamari Sibley had 15 points, 10 rebounds and two steals.
