Dragon’s Dogma 2 Warfarer Build Guide

In this Dragon’s Dogma 2 Warfarer Build Guide, we’ll be talking about the advanced vocation Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2. We’ll be talking about how and where to unlock it, what the basics and mechanics of the vocation is, stamina management, and good pawn combinations. We’ll be covering all the information you will need to start playing as a Warfarer Build in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Unlock the Warfarer Vocation

The first thing you will need to do to unlock the Warfarer vocation is to head to the Volcano Island Camp, which is near the southernmost part of the map. You will need to talk to Lamond, who is located at the Geyser Hamlet. He will ask you to bring him an item, a Newt Liqueur. You will have to bring three of it to Lamond, as he’ll ask for more when you give one to him. Doing this task will unlock the vocation for you. You can buy Newt Liqueur from Higg’s Tavern Stand in Bakbattahl.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Warfarer Build – A Warfarer’s Role

Warfarers are a jack of all trades. They can do whatever you want them to do, so you can use this vocation to fill the gap of your party. You can set up a warfarer as a tank and healer hybrid, or a healer and DPS, or anything in between. The downside of being a warfarer is that they will only have three skills to use between classes. Basically, the role of a warfarer is what you want it to be.

As the warfarer can be anything you want to be, any vocation will do as a pawn for your character. For example, you might want a mage as a main pawn if you’re planning on being a tank. You’ll generally just want a vocation to fill the gap of the playstyle you want to do as a warfarer.

Basics of a Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The warfarer can equip up to 9 weapons, which you can change the order in your inventory. As stated above, the warfarer can only have three skills, so six of those weapons won’t be able to use any of the class-related skills to them. If you really want to, you can, as you can use the basic attacks of those weapons. Realistically, three weapons and classes would be the optimal set-up. If you’re wondering about the equipment weight, the heaviest weapon’s weight will be the only one considered. Having this in mind, you can make your character’s carry weight lighter by equipping the weapons.

The warfarer will have a skill that is the entire point of the vocation, Rearmament. You’ll learn this skill from Lamond, when you were unlocking this vocation. Rearmament allows you to swap between all the weapons you have equipped. This will take one of your skill slots, so a warfarer can only have three skills aside from Rearmament.

As a warfarer, you can use different skills from different classes. However, your weapon type must match the skills you have equipped. If you have a greatsword skill equipped, you can only use it while equipping a greatsword.

A big advantage of being a warfarer is that you can choose to use whichever armor you want to wear. You could play as a mage while wearing heavy armor, or basically be any vocation you want wearing any armor you want. You can get all the protection you need if you want to play as a support, or if that’s your kind of playstyle.

A downside of a warfarer is that you’ll only have three skill slots to use. You can’t use any ultimate skill, a trade-off for being a versatile vocation.

Useful Skills as a Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The unique thing about the warfarer is that you can use any spell that you have unlocked. It is recommended to unlock a lot of skills first to be a warfarer, so that you won’t be limited to combinations of skills that you have in mind. Here, we’ll be talking about what skills and combinations can be used, to give you ideas on what you might want your playstyle to be as a warfarer.

Galvanize | Anodyne

A decent combination would be a sorcerer and a mage. You could equip strong-hitting spells from a sorcerer, while having support and heal spells that would help your party. A good skill combination for the two vocations would be Galvanize and Anodyne.

Thief | Archer

Another good pairing would be a thief and an archer. This is similar to the strider in the first Dragon’s Dogma. If you want to recreate that, you can use basic attacks of the archer while having the skills of a thief while climbing and jumping onto monsters.

Mage | Archer

An interesting combo would be a mage and archer. You’ll be able to buff yourself with elemental affinity then using a bow to deal an elemental type of damage. You can set enemies on fire, or freeze them, from a distance. You can also debuff yourself or use Anodyne to heal.

Generally, archers and magick archers would work well if you’re a warfarer as these vocations heavily use regular attacks. Having a vocation that uses normal attacks regularly would free up skill slots. I would recommend that you try to stick to only two vocations if possible.

Suggested Equipment and Augments as a Warfarer

Equipment-wise, it will depend on what your set-up and preferred combinations are as a warfarer. I would recommend you wear heavy armor so that you’ll have more protection, as that’s one of the advantages of being a warfarer.

You’ll unlock two augments as a warfarer, both of these augments are very useful to have. Unlocking these two augments alone makes playing warfarer worth it, as you’ll also be able to use it for other vocations.

That concludes our Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trickster Build Guide, and we have many others as well for you to check out. You can use the?Dragon’s Dogma 2 Wiki?as well if you have further questions.
